It was a real pleasure to host the one and only "7-9" Live Sessions on Sunday 22 May 2005 to mark the 10th year anniversary of my "7-9" programme on RTHK Radio 3. A special thanks from me to all the bands who came to play - along with the audience who came to watch! The Academy

Airtub
One of the bands behind the 'Give More' Tsunami relief project who have also gigged around the region. A great set from a bunch of guys who obviously love their music...

Audiotraffic
Having won the 2004 HK heats of the World Battle Of The Bands, toured New Zealand, and played the big stage at Rock-it they must be pretty happy... But a new album?

Jayhouse
With members from KL, NZ, UK and HK, they cover all points of the compass - and with a fine range of blues-based guitar tunes too, they also made a great impression in the studio...

Monogel
A highlight group from the World Battle Of The Bands HK heats, they played a really tight set for the sessions. The only Cantonese set of the day, but great music spoke volumes...

Over A Dogma
Look out for this band for something really different. World vibes and vocals sung in a Moroccan dialect of Arabic. Three really cool tracks tinged with funk, reggae and jazz...

Whence He Came
One of the HK bands that has been around a few years. They played without a drummer, but made brilliant use of synths and grand piano. But should they be filed under 'W'...?
