They say that if it's going to happen anywhere, then it's most likely to happen in New York City. Whatever it is. Having been based here since 2006, but also a frequent visitor over the years, I've gained a unique insight into what NYC offers. So that's what I talk about - both on my NC:NY weekly radio programme on Hong Kong's Radio 3, and also for live segments to air.

I regularly speak on matters serious and not-so-serious, live on air to the 'Morning Brew' programme on RTHK. Some of the topics I've discussed can be seen in the Big Apple Blog, others you'll just have to tune in to hear!

Another part of what I do is to find some of the weird and wonderful events that happen in the city, record interviews with the characters involved, and package the audio into self-contained radio journalist features. These usually run to around 6 minutes, but can be tailored longer or shorter as required. These will always be current, naturally unique, and often subject matter that the major news networks have overlooked. Examples of many of these can be heard in the Features / Interviews section.

Although I can't claim to be a native New Yorker, I take great pride in sourcing highly individual interview material and subject matter that even many locals are not aware of...

Before I relocated to New York, I produced and presented a daily music radio programme on RTHK called "7-9". This was deemed by many as Hong Kong's best non-mainstream music programme, and I regularly featured the most interesting alternative bands from around the world. I still include many new tracks from emerging bands on my current NC:NY programme (details and tracklistings on the NC:NY programme info section), whilst previous interviews and reviews can be accessed in The Vault. Not many people have been lucky enough to have a one-on-one interview with the late, great James Brown for instance, but you will find that archived interview in that section too.
