Saturday 30 August 6.10pm
It is a long weekend this weekend, as Monday is the Labor Day holiday here in the US! It's the day that officially marks the end of summer, so I'll be sending the season off in style with another 80's spectacular! All the music this Saturday will be vintage tunes from the 1980's, and a mix of CD and rare vinyl too... Listen up for dusted off tracks from Altered Images, Depeche Mode, Men Without Hats, Yazoo, and Monsoon...
On the RTHK airwaves in Hong Kong at 6.10pm Saturday evening, streamed live online at the same time, and archived online immediately afterwards!
For details and links to previous programmes, interviewees, playlists and all the guff, check out the "programme info" page...

Ballooning in Central Park
One of the great attractions in New York for summer 2008 is on a helium balloon (similar to a hot-air balloon) that flies 300 feet above Central Park! Locals and visitors alike are lining up to be one of the four people in the basket each time it heads up into the sky. But how does it all work, and why does it have to be tethered to the ground? To get the answers, I spoke with the people behind the operation, and headed up, up and away. And as the best views are early in the morning, I set the alarm, and got to Central Park for 7.30am...

Live on Morning Brew!
Every week I have a chat with Phil Whelan on Morning Brew just after 12 noon (HK time) on a Friday lunchtime on RTHK Radio 3 in Hong Kong. What's on? What do we talk about? Who knows - as it's all live, and it's all topical.

Thanks!
Particular thanks to Rob from www.soundbaker.com for creating and mixing the brilliant ripped up, cranked out version of the 'Star Spangled Banner' that I use at the start of the programme each week! Also to Sean from Gunslingers for website graphics and web guidance, plus to all of the guests I have interviewed for their time and trouble!
